Yevgeni Mitta

Russian director and screenwriter, artist and gallery owner. Born in 1963 in Moscow, he graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute in 1988. Co-founder of Russia's first private art gallery. A member of the Moscow Artists' Association since 1994. He took part in the 44th Venice Biennale and in other international art exhibitions. He has worked as a stage designer and was the production designer for "The Stroll". He founded the Paperworks gallery in 2005 and started working on a documentary series called "Anthology of Contemporary Art" in 2007. "Act&Punishment" is his latest documentary.
