Dan Fogelman

Dan Fogelman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in English, which included a year of study at Oxford University. Fogelman began his career in Hollywood working for The Howie Mandel Show, The Man Show, and The TV Guide Channel, where he wrote 60-second celebrity bios.

He's a writer/producer of both live action and animation for film and television, launched his feature career with Pixar's blockbuster Cars, a film that brought him an Annie Award nomination for best screenwriting. He received his second Annie nomination for Disney's Tangled.

The New Jersey native also penned the sequel Cars 2. His live action feature films include the semi-autobiographical The Guilt Trip starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen as mother and son, the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love. with Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore and the holiday comedy Fred Claus with Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti. Fogelman made his directorial debut with Imagine, which he also wrote. The film stars Al Pacino, Annette Bening and Jennifer Garner.

His television credits include: ABC's comedy series The Neighbors starring Jami Gertz, which Fogelman created and executive produces; the WB's Like Family, which he created and executive produced; NBC's Lipshitz Saves The World, starring Ty Burrell and the late Leslie Nielsen; and, Fox' The 12th Man.
