Joe Swanberg

He is the director of many feature films, including Hannah Takes the Stairs, Drinking Buddies and Happy Christmas. He also wrote and directed all 25 episodes of his three season Netflix Original Series Easy. He co-wrote the Dave Franco feature The Rental, which was released theatrically in the summer of 2020, and his own project, Build the Wall, was released for free on his Vimeo page that same year. As an actor he has appeared in Adam Wingard’s You’re Next, Ti West’s The Sacrament and Josephine Decker’s Thou Wast Mild and Lovely, and he starred in and directed different segments of the original V/H/S film. He lives in Chicago.
