Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi lives and works between France and Iran. He graduated at Le Fresnoy, where he developed an aesthetic combining cinema and contemporary art. He has directed two narrative short films, Lower Heaven (2017) and Cavalière (2020), shown at festivals including Toronto, Clermont-Ferrand, FIFIB, Premiers Plans Angers, Winterthur and Mecal, amongst others. Chevalier noir, his first feature, was selected for its development at La Fabrique Cinémas in Cannes and Ateliers Premiers Plans in Angers.
