Biografie
An actress and filmmaker originally from the Mixteca Region, she has written and directed the short films La tiricia o cómo curar la tristeza (2012), Arcángel (2018) and La carta (2016). For the first two she received the Ariel for Best Short Film (in 2013 and 2019 respectively) and the last of the three earned her a nomination in the same category. Her three short films have won awards nationally and internationally, and among her accolades is the Prix Révélation at Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse for Arcángel in 2019. Nudo mixteco is her debut feature.
