Biografie
An early film pioneer and innovator of cinematographic techniques, Gottfried Wilhelm "Billy" Bitzer (1872–1944) was D. W. Griffith's master cinematographer and together they made several films, including the legendary Birth of a Nation (1915) and Intolerance (1916).
