Ryan Murphy

Ryan Murphy (b. 1966, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA), film and television director, screenwriter, and producer, graduated in journalism from Indiana University and later wrote for The Miami Herald and The Los Angeles Times. His first screenplay, Why Can't I Be Audrey Hepburn, was purchased by Steven Spielberg. He contributed multiple skills to the Golden Globe-winning series "Nip/Tuck," "Glee," and "American Horror Story." He debuted in 2006 as a writer-director in feature film with the eccentric comedy drama Running with Scissors, and audiences adored his next picture Eat Pray Love (2010). The Normal Heart is his third feature.
