Gábor Reisz

Gábor Reisz (b. 1980, Budapest) started off studying at the Hungarian University of Physical Education before moving on to film theory and history at Budapest's Lórand Eötvös University in 2003. Then in 2006 he enrolled at the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest (SZFE) to focus on film and television direction. While at school he shot a number of short films including The Reason for Denial, Honestly (A tagadás oka, őszintén, 2006), 8 (story showcase segment, 2007), Nothing and Good (Jót és Semmit, doc, 2007), Somebody's Something (Valakinek a valamije, 2009), and Peter (segment from ...meanwhile in Budapest, 2013). For Some Inexplicable Reason is his feature debut.
