Carlos Marques-Marcet

Born and educated in Barcelona, his second feature film A munt i a val was awarded with the national prize Jóvenes Creadores del Injuve. Thanks to the third one, he is given the honour to participate in a cinema workshop with Abbas Kiarostami and Victor Erice. His fourth film was selected by the prestigious magazine Cahiers de Cinema as best 2008 short film. In 2009 produces his first feature film De Pizarros y Atahualpas, a sincere look to the contraditions of present-day Peru. After winning the scholarchip of Fundación la Caixa, he moves to Los Angeles to do a master degree in Film Directing at UCLA.
