Selma Vilhunen

Selma Vilhunen is a director and screenwriter of both fiction and documentary films. She has graduated from Turku University of Applied Sciences. Her works as director include Pietà (TV film) and Pony Girls (follow-up documentary), which won the main prize in Tampere Film Festival. She is also the co-writer of the feature film Homesick (co-writer and director Petri Kotwica) and the writer of Suburban Virgin (TV film, directed by Hanna Maylett). She has directed a short film Do I Have to Take Care of Everything? which was awarded as the best comedy in Aspen Shortsfest 2013 and was nominated for Academy Award.
