Jeffrey Hunter is a man alone, trapped on a Japanese-held Pacific island with World War II exploding all around him. As the only American serviceman left on the island of Guam during the three years in which the Japanese controlled the island (and the surrounding seas), Hunter must learn to cannily survive and fight a guerilla battle when and where he can.
