In Vita Mors in Morte Vita

In 1905 Mexico we meet Fermin, a 35 year old priest who has dedicated his entire life to the Catholic religion. Because of his strict following of the moral rules of his religion, Fermin has lived a life restricted from all the earthly pleasures this world has to offer. Now Fermin is dying because of a terminal desease, tuberculosis. Due to an encounter with a death sentenced criminal, he realizes all his beliefs and his way of life are worthless. The fear of death makes the priest change his attitudes towards life by rejecting his former way of life and morals, taking the commitment of exploring all of what this life has to offer before dying. In this journey, Fermin meets an inmortal entity, Atropos, a prostitute who will offer him a cure for his illness and a new way of life. Fermin will choose to destroy his past life as a priest, and taking the cure that the prostitute offers him. This decision will lead Fermin to a certain death. (Guanajuato International Film Festival)
