Keeper gaat over de 15-jarige Maxime (Kacey Mottet Klein) en Mélanie (Galatéa Bellugi). Ze zijn verliefd. Liefdevol en ietwat onhandig verkennen ze samen hun seksualiteit. Op een dag ontdekt Mélanie dat ze zwanger is. Voor Maxime is dit in eerste instantie moeilijk te bevatten, maar uiteindelijk wil hij niets liever dan het kindje houden. Mélanie’s zwangerschap stelt hem echter voor een moeilijke keuze. Moet hij zich focussen op zijn vaderschap of zich richten op een professionele voetbalcarrière? (Cinéart Nederland)

I have been thinking all along that these kids are actually to blame for all their troubles. They are fifteen and trying to have a relationship. The relationship is forced because Mélanie is pregnant but very determined to make it happen. What did they expect? I wasn’t rooting for them and I didn’t think the film has any kind of message at all. Their decision was simply reckless and it destroyed few human lives who may have had hope, but preferred to give it up because they were bored with their youth and thought that being adult is cool. It is not, trust me! Life flies by so fast and suddenly you are retired and glad that you made it so far.
