After his father dies and his mother is placed in a mental hospital, young Mick is sent to live with his grandfather on a cattle station in the Australian outback, an environment that is completely foreign to him. After a terrible storm, he discovers a puppy covered in blue paint stranded in a tree. Though it takes some convincing, Mick's grandfather grudgingly allows the boy to keep the dog, now named Blue. I haven’t seen such a nice and optimistic family film in a long time. I guarantee you a complete relax and a fun story that is a pleasure to watch.

A good film, but it's just a classic sequel. The original Red Dog was great, different, and funny. This is just trying to get a little more out of it. It's nice how movies reference themselves, but this sequel just isn't as funny anymore, it's not as different, it's just good, and watching it won't offend anyone.
