As a social worker, Shu-fen is accustomed to seeing everything. But her world comes tumbling down when she discovers that Ya-ting, her fifteen year old daughter, is pregnant. Things get even worse when Ya-ting disappears without a trace, and the enigma leads Shu-fen to the mysteries surrounding the threatening figure of "the girl dressed in red", one of the best known and most feared urban legends in Taiwan.
