(September Film)

Engels A really difficult romantic story. You have no idea what is going on in the heads of the main characters, you just watch how they are trying to reach each other and how they fail. The creators also used a lot of shots from the slaughterhouse, which I would have done without. However, I understand that it represents a certain reflection of how the main characters live and where they significantly lack a bit of human sympathy. Nevertheless, the ending proves that if not for Alexandra Borbély, the film would be a half of what it is. She really tuned into her melancholic sad role and really helped the movie. ()

Engels Sweetly escaping and painfully physical bloody romance, which is dominated by Alexandra Borbély's shy creation, Máté Herbai's calm, elegant camera, and the ability to create a surprisingly fragile and lyrical atmosphere of a place where two souls meet in an environment where animals are killed and meat sliced. Ildikó Enyedi's long creative pause probably led to the lighter struggle with rhythm, but this restrained debate about the limits of the body and freedom of the soul is still a deep experience. ()

Engels A weird film, which knocked my cynical self out of the game. The Hungarian filmmakers really pulled it off again. The film was relaxing, romantic and dramatic, yet I wouldn't recommend it to any animal rights activists or the faint of heart. I'm still blown away by Alexandra Borbély, it's been a long time since a film character intrigued me as much as Marika. ()
