Documentary filmmaker Ada Ushpiz plunges into the mindset of Hannah Arendt, going even deeper than Margarethe von Trotta in her film portrait from 2012. The film reflects her ideas from several perspectives, the notion that we always have the chance to think for ourselves, about how the nation can be a trap. It deals with her complicated relationship to Heidegger but also about being a person on the run. Her unorthodox thoughts on Adolf Eichmann made her an outsider in the Jewish community. The film is an incredibly tightly knit web of vital questions about one of the major free thinkers of our era. (Göteborg Film Festival)
