A handsome 18-year old boy, Lake, hides an attraction to elderly men. When his mum gets him a summer job at an old people's home, he discovers that the patients are being sedated with psychotropic drugs. Lake befriends a charming old man, Mr. Peabody, and secretly weans him off his medication, eventually helping him to escape. Together they embark on a road trip as their friendship develops into something deeper. Canadian provocateur Bruce La Bruce’s movie is an unusual story beaming with romantic melodrama, humor and genuine warmth.
