Poslední fext

The “last fext” is what surrealist poet Pavel Řezníček called another surrealist poet, Karel Šebek. The words “surrealist” and “poet” should be used in moderation, but here they apply absolutely 100%. A fext is an undead creature that cannot be killed in any ordinary way. This portrait of Šebek was based on a fascination with Surrealism, but is tied down by an exaggerated sense of respect; it did not become a fext in its own right. To this day, all its actors strike me as fictions, even though I saw them with my own eyes. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
