A film "The Skier" charts the swan song of a once-hopeful career. Grass skiing has never been an Olympic sport, but for Jan Němec - the best grass skier of all-time - it has been his life's mission to make it so. At 33, however, with no opening on the horizon, he is having to try to fulfil his destiny - literally - elsewhere. His best hope lies in renting himself out as winter sports representative to countries trying to establish themselves in skiing, and leaving his own medals to gather dust at home.
