Dark Times

These are really tough times. A visually striking film that showcases the power of gore but also the strength of the camera work. When these things are combined - and when handheld camera work makes sense again - it creates a fairly enjoyable frenzy that doesn't stop. True, there are some slower moments, but even those make sense. The shot has everything you need at that point. Nevertheless, you can't shake the feeling that Dark Times is just a taste of something bigger. (14.10.2014)
