FilmJAZZ, the oldest surviving film by Woody Vasulka, was awarded at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. It shows a musician traveling through Prague’s peripheries until he reaches a garage. A jazz practice session starts; the camera, which for instance films the journey along a staircase, focuses on capturing various lighting conditions.
