(Paradiso Films)

Engels Bachelorette in no way disgusted or offended me, and I didn't feel like I was watching a filmed chicken coop while watching it. Rather than a comedy, I took it as a kind of lighter drama, which escalated quite pleasantly (in the sense of interestingly) at the end. The characters that were unsympathetic most likely really were meant to be unsympathetic (otherwise I can't explain why Kirsten Dunst made my hair bristle this time), and the best of them all was Genna played by the great Lizzy Caplan. It was her storyline that really elevated the film. And that's why I give it a better three stars. ()

Engels I don't know if the filmmakers made a little joke about us. "Girls on the Move" are supposed to be a generational statement about how women are capable of getting lost in their trivialities and cannot live properly, they have no sense. But this was true in the case of the film "Women to Themselves," it definitely does not apply to "Girls on the Move." It's just a stupid comedy that tries to show, one awkwardness after another, that girls can really get things going and sometimes it goes terribly, even catastrophically. The actresses are quite interesting, the actors are decent, but the end result is just a stupidity without a plot, revolving around torn, stained, and sprayed dresses. The worst part is that the screenwriter/director tried to give the characters a bit of depth, but it just didn't work. When a movie is awkward, nothing can save it. Stupid jokes, stupid speeches, and even more terrifying philosophizing about nothing. And the point? Well, I almost wanted to cry from it. And they lived happily ever after. This movie is unbelievably superficial, even though it wants to play a little more, I really had a hard time watching it. And "Girls on the Move" have almost 80 minutes of pure time without subtitles. Does it really make sense to make such movies? A movie that tries to parasitize on successful pieces from recent times? No, this is bad. Even though the characters want to appear real, they are still just caricatures. No, just no. This movie was a mistake. A big one. Engels I actually watched this movie solely for Kirsten Dunst. I thought it would be similar to The Hangover, except instead of boys there would be girls and the whole thing would be really crazy and full of yelling and crying.  In the end, I was really amazed by how likable I found the three girls. Kirsten Dunst played a bit of a dominatrix and I liked that. I didn’t laugh as much as I would expect but on the other hand, it really wasn’t all that bad. ()
