JAIL BAIT is a grimy drama about criminals sleazing around a crummy little town, by the acknowledged king of bad cinema, Ed Wood. The story is about a young criminal who kills a cop and has plastic surgery to alter his face. I guess I was really expecting this to be terrible, but it was not bad at all. That's what happens when you make an image of Ed Wood based on Burton's film. The reality is different. This is classic B-movie material, decently shot for its time with an attempt to at least somewhat engage with what's actually happening in the film.
