In this, the 47th and penultimate "Tora-san," both Mitsuo and the itinerant peddler find love in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture. Mitsuo, unhappy in his new job as a shoe salesman, is invited to a festival there and is introduced to a friend's sister.
