Engels Another one of those movies that a person avoids, but once in a while you just have to watch. The characters aren't anything special, but the story is properly twisted, there are excellent supporting roles, and at times it's really funny. Short, concise, and entertaining. I didn't expect much and didn't get an absolutely amazing comedy, but as a comedy about misfits, it's still great even after ten years and many other similar comedies. ()

Engels I can't remember the last time I hated myself so much for my review. But what to do with a film whose raw portrayal of the relationship between a young up-and-coming Indo-American man and a six-foot-tall sack of hash brings tears to your eyes over the fact that there are bigger idiots in the world than you. If the movie had an hour more, I'd go for five stars, because by then nothing matters anyway. ()

Engels Very stoned and incredibly stupid, but still more than tolerable. No one gives a damn and it shows, you won't find a funnier flush of drugged-out jokes anywhere... 65% ()

Engels Harold & Kumar is both tolerably stupid and surprisingly intellectually fresh. The “world goes round” idea is a very simplistic worldview, but it’s true at the end of the day. And here the filmmakers succeeded in putting it into a movie about two stoners on their way to a burger joint in a way that doesn’t seem awkward. An unequivocal win! ()
