Phantom Parrot

Human rights activist Muhammad Rabbani is asked to reveal the passwords to his electronic devices at a border checkpoint. When he refuses, a criminal investigation against him begins and a secret British government surveillance programme comes to light. Phantom Parrot aims to monitor people's personal information at airports and border crossings. Using archival footage and interviews with victims of unjustified persecution, director Kate Stonehill exposes the darker side of modern technology.
