Shadows of the Heart

It's 1920 and Kate Munro is an idealistic headstrong young doctor who leaves the mainland to practice on Gannett Island. The more traditional island residents are suspicious of Dr. Kate and her modern ways, but Vic Hanlon who is the son of a wealthy family is drawn to her fiery nature and individualistic spirit. Vic's brother Michael, who is the island priest, is a little more wary of her, but as events come to bring Kate and Michael together, forbidden feelings have a way of making their presence felt in the most consuming manner.
