Cocaine Bear is gebaseerd op een waargebeurd verhaal uit 1985 over een drugssmokkelaar, wiens vliegtuig neerstort, en de zwarte beer die de zoekgeraakte cocaïne verorbert. In deze chaotische thriller komt een bonte verzameling van politieagenten, toeristen en tieners samen in een bos in Georgia waar een gevaarlijk roofdier van ruim 200 kilo een onvoorstelbare hoeveelheid cocaïne binnen heeft gekregen en daarna stijf van de coke op rooftocht gaat naar meer drugs… en slachtoffers.
