Mateo Messina

Mateo Messina, an award winning film and television composer, is best known for his unique twist on traditional film scores. His inimitable style of composition and song-writing has earned him accolades within the motion picture industry (Naris, Sundance, and BAFTA short list to mention a few). His score to Fox Searchlight's Juno was a heartfelt and new approach to writing music to the on-screen emotion with subtlety. The Juno soundtrack went #1 on the Billboard charts. His recognizable sound and original feel comes from weaving memorable melodies through uncommon musical experimentation.

Messina has released 14 solo albums, as well as written 10 symphonies. He also writes for television and was commissioned to write for an episode of the most recent season of NBC's "The Office." His studio and independent films have been featured on screens at every major film festival including Sundance, Cannes and Toronto.
