Began at age 20 in the advertising field, and soon he creates Imaginaria, his production company, for which he has directed all his projects. His advertising work has been awarded on many prestigious international festivals such as Promax, The New York Festivals, San Sebastián and Cannes. In 2002 he directed his first fiction Mientras me muero, a short film nominated for the Ariel and winning the Golden Sun at the Biarritz Festival in France. That same year Mario started to work on his first feature film: Bajo la Sal.
