Wei Shujun was born in 1991 in Beijing, China. He started his career as an actor at 14 years old. He completed his master degree at the Communication University of China. His filmography include the short film On the Border (2018), which received a special mention of the Jury at the Cannes Film Festival, and the feature films Striding into the Wind (2020), Cannes’ official selection and presented at the 44th Mostra, and Ripples of Life (2021), screened in the Directors’ Fortnight, also at Cannes.
