Pierce is a dual American-Canadian citizen based in Toronto. He grew up in rural North Carolina before moving to Canada at 18 to pursue his lifelong passion of film. Later that passion grew and evolved into an appreciation of all forms of movies but especially for the creativity and craftsmanship found in genre cinema. Photography of practical creature FX, miniatures and any sort of in-camera trickery soon became his niche while he also explored and experimented with more traditional shooting material.
He has filmed sequences and second unit for films such as MANDY, PSYCHO GOREMAN and THE VOID. He's now shooting feature length films and his work can also be seen in Nate Wilson's 2023 experimental soap opera THE ALL GOLDEN and Steve Kostanski's mini-monster comedy FRANKIE FREAKO.
