She - Reality
I woke up this one morning
and heard my muses mourning
in my little bed.
„Hello there, sleepy stranger,
come close, embrace the danger.“
Reality said.
I rubbed my eyes, then saw the daylight.
What a pretty but very grey sight.
Another chance I blew
had waited just behind the corner.
What had been good now is former.
Reality, I’m new.
She laughed hard and drained my nerves,
with her sexy, thrilling curves
dived into my sanity.
The witch revealed more, I just sighed.
She asked me once and I replied.
“Beats me ’gain, Reality.”
Head over heels, I slipped her chain
with a quiet girl partly insane
and there was her ghastly grin.
Four times and still at the outset.
Reality pointed out that
I should have tried aspirin.
Thus, I fought and built my dam
against myself and all of them.
Reality, here I am.
It worked well for several years.
One bad move – the witch appears
and pulls out my fragile stem.
But the evening came, this time quite early
and calmed down my shattered mind.
Muses snuggled up to me and I felt their lips.
A bunch of small ants partied in my fingertips.
A mixture of shame, joy and excitement –
my life I had shyly declined.
So I’m taking it easy, still hearing her growl.
A little step back means seeing your goal
and it does seem so clever.
Life’s just a game we have to play
and I’ve got two words left to say.
“Reality? Whatever.”
