Tarzan's Secret Treasure (1941)

Engels I can't help it, but Jane is such a terrible character and just plays on emotions, so Tarzan, who is essentially portrayed as a simpleton here, steps aside because he loves his amazing partner. If I were them, I'd throw her under a running rhino. I can't watch much more of this... A lot of scenes are repetitive, and the plot is boring.

Lost in Florence (2017)

Engels A classic romance that essentially wants to capitalize on the contrast between the beautiful Italian city and a sport with historical roots that is gritty. The depiction of the sport itself, however, isn't particularly harsh; rather, it's somewhat bland. The romance is similar, not trying to be provocative, but following classic tropes, which is a bit boring.

Downtown - Die nackten Puppen der Unterwelt (1975)

Engels This is Jesús Franco in better form, mostly because he's not afraid to show a little more. There's also a crime-comedy story that works quite well. But still, it's mainly a film where you want to watch Lina Romay and other beauties who show a lot of their charms here. And the camera lets us watch.

Tarzan Finds a Son! (1939)

Engels It was quite a smart move to add a child to Tarzan and Jane, making the story much more dramatic, which it ultimately is by the end. The finale, however, is somewhat strange and indeed quite boring, especially considering Jane's behavior and how it all concludes. This could have been really dramatic, but it wasn't, which is a shame.

Juste la fin du monde (2016)

Engels It could have been an interesting drama about self-discovery, finding a way back to family, and above all, realizing one's life, which should slowly come to an end. However, where films like Fences or Manchester by the Sea manage to blend seemingly mundane dialogues with engaging narratives, this film failed to do so.

Get the Girl (2017)

Engels Get the Girl has such a ridiculous and illogical premise, yet it leads to everything beautifully and brutally falling apart, that while I felt the whole time it was screenwriting nonsense, it still managed to entertain me at times. It's nonsense, but if you accept the game being played here, it can be entertaining.

Exponerad (1971)

Engels I was expecting something a little different. The film has a hint of being pretty gritty in places, but it's not really. It has one big advantage, and that is Christina Lindberg in the lead role. She's beautiful, she's sensual, and she has something innocent about her. The film is worth watching mainly because of her. Maybe only because of her.

Trolls (2016)

Engels It's a fairly traditional animation, but it has cute characters, great songs with quite good arrangements, a nice story, and of course, humor. The animation isn't perfect, it's not as visually stunning as in Moana, but it's pleasant to watch, and I believe kids will enjoy it. I enjoyed it and laughed at times.

Tarzan Escapes (1936)

Engels The "civilized" people decide it's time to bring Jane back, even against her will. First by persuasion, then by more violent means if there is no other way. It leads to several interesting scenes, well-executed action sequences, and very good confrontations with animals, whether with them or against them.

The Head of Normande St. Onge (1975)

Engels It's as if the girl doesn't know what she's supposed to do, as if she's lost in life, so she's searching for a way to fulfill herself, to find herself, maybe even by finding a decent guy and indulging in pleasures. I was hoping the film would be bolder, but it was still very enjoyable to watch the main character.
