Pola à 27 ans

Pola lived in Warsaw. In 1944/45 she was 27, when she lost her grandparents, her parents, her four brothers, her husband and the entire family of her husband in Auschwitz – where she herself suffered tortures of hell. When liberated, she weighed some 30 kilograms only, her body was black and full of pustules, she had lost her hair and her teeth. But she had survived as the only one, and her entire universe had gone up in smoke. (DOK.fest München)
