Samenvattingen(1)

Rudolf Hrušínský's return to filmmaking came after a five-year involuntary break following the film Oasis (1972). Fires on Potato Fields is a story about the search for a new existential certainty in the middle of profane, alienated society of the 1970s; it is supported by Hrušínský's reserved acting and an atmosphere created by impressive cinematography and music.
