Zia Anger’s first film is based on her acclaimed cross-media performance of the same name, where she deconstructed a failed film project live on screen in front of an audience in a spontaneous collage of clips and commentary. My First Film is a film adaptation of the (un-)making of the original film that the 20-something Zia set out to make. With a head full of ideas, Vita gathers a team of ambitious but inexperienced friends to realise her vision of a young woman and her search for her true self.
