Op kerstavond wordt een jongen die aan het bestaan van de Kerstman twijfelt wakker door lawaai. Hij kijkt uit het raam en ziet een gigantische stoomtrein. De norse conducteur vraagt de jongen mee te gaan. Op het moment dat de jongen instapt weet hij nog niet dat hij het grootste avontuur van zijn leven tegemoet gaat.
