Twenty years after the director moved from her parents’ farm, she is back with a desire to collect the small bits of daily life that were the bedrock of their existence. By portraying the parents gestures and conversations, she explores their memory and view of both old and new things, and captures our ambivalent desire to be free while at the same time belonging to a tradition.
