I wasn't too keen on the film at first, after all the drama and romance genres are pretty repulsive to me. But once I got into it, I got a pure thriller with time loop and slasher elements, and it's awesome. The story is quite complicated as it's all in flashback and it's hard to navigate in places, especially when someone dies every now and then. There are some very strong moments, lots of suspense, a decent bad guy, great acting, an amazing soundtrack that adds to the already rather dense atmosphere, excellent visuals and nice twists. I have a very positive impression of it. A fun and engaging film. 80%.

Time travel has been the order of the day for me lately, so I'm simply not as easily swayed anymore. Anyway, this was a nice idea, nicely made and well cast. Even the unusual combination of thriller and romance works well here. I think the icing on the cake and the strongest moment is the very end of the film. For those who enjoyed the film, I definitely recommend this year's season of Signal. 4 stars.
