On cleaning day in Hell, two playful demons misbehave and get in the way. By accident, they knock over a cauldron containing a sinful soul which uses the ensuing chaos to escape. The naughty minions beg Lucifer’s forgiveness. He has one condition: they must bring him another sinful soul from the human world. (Finále Plzeň)
Recensie (2)
A simple but inoffensive fairy tale with a straightforward story, overlong running time, uneven performances, but no dumb humour, and with kitschy but ultimately quite nice cinematography and atmosphere. Nothing groundbreaking, but we are used to much bigger crap from Troška. Kids will probably like it, adults will painlessly survive it and it won't be a disgrace on TV in two years. So actually quite a success. ()
A routine fairy tale by Troška, this time in the variant of picturesque South Bohemian landscape + peasant baroque + devils + young love + miserly peasants + pre-revolutionary nobility. And since the waterman wasn’t there this time (he was replaced by a stray soul), we will see him again in another next fairy tale. And instead of the classic bickering, we get singing for a change. I don't know why he doesn't just make it into a series. ()
