Heirate mich - Casate conmigo

Gladis is Cuban, 27 years old, a strong and experienced woman. Her principle: When a man starts treating you badly, throw him out. On New Years Eve 2002 she gets engaged to Erik, a German, in Havana. Together with him, Gladis and her small son Omarito leave Cuba for Hamburg. She is determined not to give up her independence in a foreign country. Soon however, her new life in Europe is overshadowed by daily fights with Erik. When they travel to Sicily, events take an unexpected turn, and eventually something happens that points the lives of Gladis, Erik and even Omarito in a new direction. (DOK.fest München)
