Op de laatste dag van het jaar doet de zachtaardige leraar Engels Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) zijn best om alles onder controle te houden tussen examenstunts, een disfunctionerende administratie en bezuinigingen die banen op de tocht zet. Maar alles gaat van kwaad tot erger wanneer hij per ongeluk zijn veel hardere en veelal gevreesde collega Ron Strickland (Ice Cube) tegen het lijf loopt. Strickland daagt Campbell uit tot een ouderwetse knokpartij na schooltijd. Another American comedy that tries to rely on characters and absurdities. Absurdities are fine, but the film takes itself too seriously for them to work there. The characters are boring, mostly because the title characters are so transparent at first glance that you get bored just looking at them. No, it's just not funny at all.

A really cool American comedy with lots of profanity. And I liked that the most. The movie is very sincere and enjoyable and that is thanks to its humor. What else do you want from an American comedy?

An enjoyable comedy from a school setting, with a great Ice Cube. They don't make many school comedies anymore, so I'm always happy for something like this where I'm reminded of the years of my life five years ago. It's funny, the pacing is brisk, and even though it doesn't offer anything innovative I didn't mind. 70%
