A blonde, breasts, machines, tough guys, closing credits. Driven is a visually thrilling feature-length version of Baywatch with Formula 1 cars. Taking it seriously would be a fatal mistake. Renny Harlin is just having fun, so let’s have fun with him!

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, the racing scenes are perfectly directed, on the other, there’s Sly’s script full of clichés, including a chase scene in the streets of Tokio. I’m sorry for Renny Harlin, he's a terrific director who deserves good scripts and a little luck to get back in the spotlight. And I’m sorry for Sly, too, I have a weak spot for him. He tried to make a new Rocky, but it didn’t work out. Can this be his swan song?
