De Sneeuwkoningin lijkt te zijn verslagen en de trollen vinden het heerlijk om eindelijk vrij te zijn. De jonge trol Orm heeft een belangrijke rol gespeeld in de overwinning en vertelt daar graag in geuren en kleuren over. Het hele dorp ziet hem als een held. Dat smaakt naar meer, vindt Orm, en daarom worden zijn verhalen steeds sterker. Na verloop van tijd beweert hij zelfs dat hij hoogstpersoonlijk heeft afgerekend met de Sneeuwkoningin. This installment is less interesting and well-executed than the first one when it comes to the plot. The main idea was quite simple, the storyline and its denouement quite predictable. I found the first installment quite interesting, whereas I was quite bored sometimes when watching this sequel. Plus, the fact that the main protagonist was supposed to be Orm, whom I enjoyed in the first installment, did not help. In my opinion, the elf could not keep it very interesting or entertaining by himself. The animation was about the same standard as the first installment; I liked the soundtrack a bit more. It may not be bad for kids; however, as an adult I found it to be just a weaker average of 4.5/10.

The sequel could easily stand alone as its own film because while there are some characters from the previous installment, the continuity is quite loose. The animation is still quite good, but I simply don't find the story engaging. It's so predictable, and I was quite bored with it. Plus, I found the main character annoying.
