A cavallo della tigre

Giacinto Rossi, a penniless, debt-stricken nurse, ends up in jail for wasting the police's time by faking a crime. He shares a cell with the ruthless killer Tagliabue, the ageing thief Sorcio and Papaleo, a man obsessed by notions of honor. The three of them force Giacinto to take part in a daring escape attempt which actually comes off. Hiding out in an abandoned bunker, they plan to start a new life abroad. But first their schemes will have to get past their various individual weaknesses. (Locarno Festival)
