A telenovela plot and acting performances set in erotic fantasies from a brothel. Lesbians, black corsets, voyeurism, rape and whippings, all interspersed with shots of the sensual Spanish coast. Of course, there are also shots of couples having sex reflected in mirrors, a lot of camera zooms and utterly terrible editing. Captive Women is just a case of trash purveyor and provocateur Jesús Franco doing what he does. ()
It's a nice show of breasts. And that's precisely why I'm giving it an average rating because there is indeed a large amount of exposed women here, and it's just nice to watch. There wasn't that much artificiality 30+ years ago, which is beautiful. It's retro but pleasantly retro. However, in terms of plot, it's not a groundbreaking discovery. ()
