It's a pretty good idea, definitely not brought to perfection, but Adrien Brody and Sam Neill are such good actors that you'll go through the whole journey with them, and you might even be surprised by how it ends. The fact that it's a psychological thriller makes it work much better than something along the lines of The Silence of the Lambs. Everything is only hinted at here, which is enough.
