Lizzie Borden's Revenge

What's absolutely the worst - and it really escalates - are the special effects. Lizzie Borden wields the axe quite a bit. It's nice that the camera wanted to show us the axe striking, but it's painfully obvious how staged it is and how the spurting blood isn't even real and sometimes digital. In this regard, it's a complete letdown because if even enthusiasts find it easier to insert digital effects into a film, then the horror aspect truly dies on all fronts. (06.03.2014)
